Arsenal: Fans excited after transfer update on Shkodran Mustafi

Arsenal fans have been voicing their excitement after they received a transfer update on Shkodran Mustafi.

According to The Mirror, Mustafi, who has recently changed agents, is set to test the club’s resolve to keep a hold of him in the January transfer window.

The German’s representatives want a meeting with the Emirates Stadium hierarchy due to the 27-year-old’s lack of game time this season.

Mustafi has only featured in just 10 games across all competitions this season with the 27-year-old appearing in just five of the 21 Premier League games (via Transfermarkt).

In comparison to other defenders at the club, Mustafi’s game time of 170 minutes is the least, in the top-flight, of any centre-back at the club, bar Rob Holding (via WhoScored).

He has also made the fourth-most clearances per game (3) of any player to have played for the club this campaign.

Fans were excited by the update from The Mirror about the £13.5m-rated, as per Transfermarkt, Mustafi as they took to Twitter to celebrate the news.
