Arsenal: Fans ‘happy’ with FA Cup draw

Some Arsenal fans are ‘happy’ that they have drawn Premier League high-flyers Sheffield United away from home in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

The draw was announced after Manchester City beat Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough as both the Gunners and the Blades saw their arch-rivals dumped out of the cup. Tottenham Hotspur were knocked out on penalties at home against Norwich City, who are currently bottom of the Premier League. Norwich will now face a home tie against the winners of tonight’s last round-of-sixteen clash between Derby County and Manchester United. The other quarter-finals include Leicester City versus Chelsea and Newcastle United versus Manchester City.

Considering the Blades have taken four points off of the Gunners in the Premier League this season, it is perhaps a surprise that some Gunners fans were ‘happy’ to draw them, especially away from home where they lost earlier this season. They did, however, avoid reigning champions Manchester City and top-four teams Leicester and Chelsea. These fans took to Twitter to voice their delight with the draw, with one fan even claiming that it will be an ‘easy win’:
