Many Arsenal fans were in bits after Ray Parlour revealed a hilarious story about his night out during one of the club’s pre-season tours.
Appearing on talkSPORT, the former Gunners midfielder claimed that he was left behind at the team hotel when the club was heading back to the UK from their pre-season tour of Amsterdam. Parlour said that Arsene Wenger allowed the players to have a drink on their last night in the city and he arrived back at 7am, oversleeping after Tony Adams forgot to wake him up.
It’s not the only funny story about the former England international’s antics during his playing career. He has previously told of the time he got drunk days before the north London outfit won the Premier League title away at Manchester United, a game in which he won man of the match (via The Mirror).
