Arsenal fans took to Twitter to ask the club to sign Aston Villa centre-half Tyrone Mings.
The tweets follow Aston Villa’s 0-0 draw at home to West Ham United, a game where the defender was rated highly by The Birmingham Mail, who gave him a 7.5 out of 10 (via Birmingham Mail).
The former Bournemouth man has been in inspired form this season, and it earned him his first-ever call-up to the England squad for their qualifiers against Bulgaria and Kosovo.
Both of Arsenal’s centre-backs Sokratis and David Luiz made mistakes as the Gunners let a two-goal lead slip away to Watford. Sokratis played the ball right to Tom Cleverley, who struck to make it 2-1, after which Luiz brought down Roberto Pereyra in the box for the second Watford goal (via BBC).
It seems a mixture of Arsenal’s deficiencies at centre-back and Mings’ strong performance have made fans take to Twitter to ask the club to sign him.
Here is a selection of tweets from Gooners:
