Arsenal fans were lashing out at Gary Neville after one of his old comments about the side’s central defenders emerged following the win over Olympiacos.
Back when Unai Emery was sacked, the former Manchester United defender gave an interview on Sky Sports and claimed some of the defence was ‘uncoachable’, giving special mention to Shkodran Mustafi and Sokratis. However, fast forward a couple of months and the Gunners have now kept their third consecutive clean sheet under head coach Mikel Arteta, blowing his claims out of the water.
One fan called Neville ‘average’ with regards to being able to coach a team considering his ill-fated time in charge at Valencia.

The defence as a whole has improved a lot with the north London outfit having conceded just eight goals in their 11 games under the former Manchester City assistant. Fans were left hitting out at the former England international for his previous comments about the team as they reacted on Twitter. Here are a selection of tweets:
