Many Arsenal fans have lauded a message from former goalkeeper Bob Wilson after he talked to the north London club about the difficult situation that is affecting the country at the moment.
In a message posted on the Gunners’ official Twitter page, Wilson voiced his appreciation by sending his thanks to the National Health Services, the emergency services, supermarket staff, postmen and postwomen, refuse collectors and delivery staff in particular, as well as anybody and everybody who is keeping the UK going in these unusual times.
It has also been a tough period for football lovers, as the likes of the Premier League, English Football League and Women’s Super League seasons have been suspended indefinitely until it is deemed safe to carry on.
Whilst everyone’s health comes first, it still hurts supporters of the beautiful game that they cannot enjoy watching their team play, and this is the same for AFC supporters.
Nevertheless, these Gooners lauded Wilson’s message, with some calling it ‘class’ and others branding him a ‘legend’:
