Arsenal fans were left lauding a TV pundit after he praised Nicolas Pepe following Sunday’s 4-0 drubbing of Newcastle United.
In his post-match analysis of the thrashing, Graeme Souness complimented the Ivorian for his performance and even made comparisons with a legendary club figure. The former Liverpool man picked out the similarities between the Thierry Henry’s and Pepe’s struggles in their first seasons (via Sky Sports).
The £58.5m-rated, as per Transfermarkt, attacker was on fire yesterday as he scored one goal and assisted two more with the Gunners climbing into the top half of the Premier League. However, Souness wasn’t the only one to lavish the 24-year-old with praise as Mikel Arteta claimed Pepe made the difference in the victory (via Football.London).
