Arsenal fans are loving ‘dynamo’ Emile Smith-Rowe after a throwback tweet was posted by The Arsenal Academy with the youngster accepting an award from Per Mertesacker.
The award was the football that Smith-Rowe played with on his Premier League debut, though it was perhaps not one he would like to remember, coming on as a substitute in the 3-0 home loss to Manchester City earlier this season. Indeed, his first and only Premier League start came in the following game away at Everton, where the Gunners drew 0-0 and these appearances remain the only ones that the Englishman has made in the Premier League (via Transfermarkt).
Smith-Rowe is currently on loan at Huddersfield Town in the Championship and has scored one goal and provided three assists in 10 appearances so far this season (via Transfermarkt).
These Arsenal fans were quick to show their love for Smith-Rowe on Twitter, with one fan calling him a ‘dynamo’ and another hailed him as ‘one of our own’:

The fact that we all looked and saw father and son just shows how much love @Arsenal and @mertesacker put into our future. I love our academy. @emilesmithrowe is going to be a dynamo for us. Build that confidence at Hufflepuff, lad!
