It was always going to be a tough transition from Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal to become Unai Emery’s Arsenal, but overall it’s gone extremely well so far. The Spaniard has dealt with some of the issues at the club, but there is still more to do, and now that we’re six months down the line the Gunners have been looking at the positives and negatives of Emery’s first half a year with them.

The positives are mostly clear to see, The Gunners are scoring more goals, winning more games, look better on the road and are making The Emirates look like a stadium that the opposition doesn’t look forward to travelling to. After 12 Premier League matches, Arsenal find themselves 5th, just three points off of Tottenham in the top four, although they face Tottenham and Manchester United in their next four matches.
If Emery cab mastermind wins over their big six rivals then some of the negatives around the club could be forgotten. The most concerning of the negatives is the lack of a commanding defence. The Gunners backline is bullied at times and whilst there have certainly been improvements over the past few months, Emery will know that he needs to do more work with his defenders if he is to turn Arsenal into the side that they once were.

I don't like the idea of substituting Ozil too early

Better attitude, all in it together! New signings have all done well! Defence is the same, too many mistakes in them! Can be embarrassing!

The Gunners are desperate to see Emery carry on working his magic but they understand that Rome wasn’t built in a day.
