Arsenal fans on Twitter call for Emery’s head amid Ozil saga

Arsenal fans know too well how to protest against a manager. The Gunners had been calling for Arsene Wenger’s head for years before he eventually stepped down, and it’s taken them just over half a season to get onto Unai Emery after The Daily Mail reported that the Spaniard is looking to offload Mesut Ozil.

When Emery left PSG, the fans believed it was down to the fact that he couldn’t handle some of the egos in the dressing room. However, after seeing him at The Emirates for half a season the fans are starting to question whether it was the Spaniard who caused the issues, as he seems to have made it his mission to freeze out Mesut Ozil, continually leaving the German out of the squad for ‘tactical reasons’.

If the 30-year-old is sold this window there will be an uproar from the Gunners, who would rather see Emery be cut from his role as the manager than lose out on their World Cup winning playmaker. The Emirates can be a toxic place when the fans aren’t in good voice, and if Emery carries on his hardline stance with Ozil then this saga could well prove to be the end of his time in North London.

here we go again. Emery desperately wants to repeat the same failures he had at PSG. All he wants are the players he wants coached when he was at other clubs ( e.g. Sevilla ). For me, he is not dynamic enough to manage a completely different team. Poor @Arsenal
