So far the transfer window has been kind to Arsenal. Unai Emery has forked out money to sign five new players at The Emirates and the fans are delighted with this. Unfortunately, though, the fans aren’t quite as pleased with news coming out of The Mirror claiming that Alex Iwobi will be signing a new contract at the club keeping at The Emirates until 2022.

Most Arsenal fans have been demanding that Aaron Ramsey signs a new contract at the club over the last few weeks. The Welshman has become a fan favourite over the last few years in North London and most Gunners are prioritising his new deal. At the moment, though, it seems that Emery has been dealing with the club’s Nigerian winger as he aims to extend the 22-year-old’s Arsenal deal.
Iwobi has come under intense scrutiny over the last few years for failing to kick on in his Arsenal career. The winger often runs himself into dead-ends and lacks end product at times, making him one of the club’s most frustrating players to watch. However, with the additions of both Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the Nigerian should find it easier to create chances as his new colleagues active forwards runs make it easier for the club’s wide men to create chances.

Don't worry. Once Emery sees the lad in training he won't want him in our club

As you can see, the Gunners have little time for Iwobi and will be hoping he doesn’t sign the rumoured new deal.
