Arsenal could be on the verge of allowing Costa Rican international Joel Campbell leave the club for Italy as Frosinone have registered an interest in the winger. However, a lot of fans are sad to see him leave and would have been keen to give him another chance under Unai Emery.
Joel Campbell is set for a medical with Serie A club Frosinone on Thursday after arriving in Italy.
The Costa Rican is set to sign a three-year deal that will bring to an end his seven-year stay at Arsenal.

After the 2014 World Cup, a lot of Arsenal fans believed that Joel Campbell was the next big talent at the club. The winger had been on their books for a long time and after impressing in the Champions League against Manchester United whilst on-loan at Olympiacos, the 26-year-old used the World Cup in Brazil to elevate himself. Arsene Wenger gave him a stint in the side the next season but things never materialised for Campbell.
Since that World Cup four years ago, the Costa Rican has had more loan spells with Villarreal, Sporting and Real Betis and with none of those clubs willing to take on the 26-year-old on a permanent deal, this move to Frosinone seems like Campbell’s last chance to make it for himself. Arsenal fans will be gutted that things haven’t worked out, but overall, it seems like the right decision is being made.
You can read the Gunners’ verdict on Joel Campbell here:
He's the player arsenal needs, but doesn't deserve. Why pay 350k a week for ozil when you can have a few lichtsteiners, elnenys and campbells putting in the work. Football is a team effort, but we do not have many 'team' players.

No, he's got quality in him and he is a natural winger something that we need and I feel he just needs a chance.

Arsenal messed him up he took every opportunity he ever had and they never gave nothing back the guy would be on form and come January he’s out on loan which just made no sense. Not once twice and maby more then 3,4,5 times

The supporters are all disappointed to see Campbell nearing an exit and would have been keen to see him given a proper chance under Unai Emery.
