Arsenal have really hit a purple patch under Unai Emery. The Spanish tactician has recovered from opening defeats against Manchester City and Chelsea and has masterminded a fantastic nine-game winning run that has seen his side overcome the likes of Watford, Everton and Fulham and has put them into 4th place in the Premier League, just two points off the top.

Whilst it might be true that The Gunners are yet to face a side who can match their calibre of quality in their winning run, you can only beat what’s in front of you and that is exactly what Emery has done. In the nine-game streak, The Gunners have scored a whopping 27 goals and conceded just eight times, although they’ve only shipped two goals in their previous five games. The club is on the up and Emery could have a better debut season than he was tipped to.
If Emery can get The Gunners back into the top four then he will go down as a hero at The Emirates, if he can do it at the expense of Tottenham Hotspur, then he’ll be a legend. The Gunners are currently level on points with The Lilywhites, although they’re above them on goal difference, with the thumping four goal victory over Fulham on Sunday enough to lift them above their North London rivals. The fans who pack into The Emirates every week will be keen to see this run continue and will do anything for a top-four spot, which Emery will be serious about claiming.
