Arsenal fans on Twitter keen to see more of Emile Smith-Rowe

Seeing as it’s the international break and Arsenal aren’t playing this weekend, the club took to Twitter to look back to this time last year when they hosted the North London derby. On that day, Emile Smith-Rowe was the half-time guest as The Gunners won 2-0 and the then 17-year-old has come a long way since that day last winter.

Since he was brought out as a half-time guest at The Emirates that day, the youngster has gone on to have a huge year at the club. Under Unai Emery the teenager has made his first senior appearances and scored his first Arsenal goals in Arsenal colours, with strikes in the Europa League and Carabao Cup only bolstering his stock as one of the best young players in the Premier League.

A lot of Arsenal fans have been commenting on the youngster and some have even gone as far as to predict that it could be the special academy project who swings one of the upcoming North London derbies that are on the horizon next month. The clash between the Arsenal and Tottenham in the Carabao Cup will be on that the fans are particularly looking forward it could see Smith-Rowe write some history of his own.
