Arsenal fans have had a lot to think about recently with Unai Emery starting to implement his style at the club. His favoured 4-2-3-1 formation has looked good as the side have created chances but it has raised a real talking point with who should be playing in the two.

New signing Lucas Torreira has been at the heart of a lot of debate from Arsenal fans. The Uruguayan looked very impressive for his country at the World Cup and it seems like a strange decision that he hasn’t played 90 minutes for the club yet in the Premier League, however, when he’d fully up to speed he’ll be a real player and it’s just a matter of who the Gunners partner him with.
Some fans have been calling for another new signing, Matteo Guendouzi to be put next to him but whilst the young Frenchman has looked impressive in the early days of his Arsenal career, it would be a risk to put him there. That’s why the supporters have claimed that Granit Xhaka is the man who should be next Torreira in their midfield. The Swiss midfielder has come under fire on more than a few occasions in his Arsenal career but with his ability to play out from deep, he could come good when partnered with Torreira.

It seems pretty clear that the fans want to see Xhaka and Torreira together and it will be interesting to see who Emery goes with for the Newcastle clash after the international break.
