There’s no doubting that Unai Emery has made a huge difference at Arsenal in his short time at the club. The Gunners lost their opening two games under the Spaniard but since then they’ve gone 14 games unbeaten and look the real deal. The fans, though, have noticed that the biggest change Emery has made has been in the mentality of the squad.

AFTV tweeted out last night asking the fans what has impressed them the most about the club’s transformation under Emery and the one thing they all said was the mentality. The Gunners have developed a never say die attitude that didn’t exist during Arsene Wenger’s final years and it’s clear that his presence has had a huge impact on both the fans and the players, which was clear to see on Saturday in the players’ reaction to going 1-0 down to Liverpool.
Emery’s Arsenal were written off before a ball had even been kicked this season, and then when losses to Manchester City and Chelsea hampered his start the club was viewed as a laughing stock. Since then, though, The Gunners have flown under the radar until recently and now, with The Emirates looking like a fortress again, Emery has his side sitting in 5th and only one point off of 4th placed Spurs.
You can read The Gunners’ thoughts on Emery’s change to the club’s mentality here:
He’s bringing the best out of players who looked awful last season, our mentality has changed, Saturday was a prime example, nobody let their heads drop when we conceded, not even the fans, that’s down to Emery, we can see what he’s trying to achieve.

The energy, the passion, the hunger at the touch line and then the same reflects on field as well

the mentality of the team. Having a go at it, taking on teams and having a chance to take them down but somehow they got lucky

The Gunners are loving life under Emery and will hope his revolution at The Emirates can be a long one.
