Arsenal fans on Twitter react to surprising interest in 18-year-old Ramires

Arsenal are reportedly scouting teenager Ramires in Brazil and are considering making a move for the 18-year-old as a future replacement for Aaron Ramsey, whose exit from the Emirates has all but been confirmed for the end of the season.

According to a report written by Paulo Vinicius Coelho, via the Football London, Arsenal have had representatives watch six of his matches for local club Bahia, who is believed to want to keep hold of the 18-year-old but will be open for offers from Europe with Atletico Madrid also interested in him.

Despite only making less than ten top flight appearances for the Brazilian club, the Gunners scouts look to have been impressed with what he has to offer. The report also indicates that Arsenal’s new head of football, Raul Sanllehi, might have had a hand in the situation due to the strong connections he has with South American clubs.

Arsenal fans however, despite not knowing too much about Ramires, are excited about what he could possibly bring to Unai Emery’s squad.
