Arsenal fans on Twitter want new signings despite journalist’s claim

This summer has seen Arsenal bring in five new players, with Unai Emery making the defence a priority. However, with just 24 hours to go in this window, the fans are now calling for a new addition, preferably a winger, but according to Jeremy Wilson of The Telegraph, that won’t be happening.

The fans will have known that the likes of Lucas Perez, Danny Welbeck and David Ospina were all looking at being shipped off this summer, however, considering the club are able to sell players after tomorrow’s 5 pm deadline, the fans would rather see the club work hard towards one or two more incomings and then focus on shipping off the deadwood after tomorrow, when the chance to sign players has gone.

The upcoming season will be huge for Arsenal and if they can get off it a winning start on Sunday against Manchester City then they’ll be very well placed to kick on and have a real go at getting back into the top four. The defensive signings that Emery has made could come good and if they do Arsenal will be in a really good position to challenge their top four rivals, however, if things don’t go as planned, it could be a quick derailing job for The Gunners’ season.
