Arsenal fans have been struggling as of late. Manchester United have usurped them in the table meaning that they now sit 6th. However, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan now back to fitness, they’ll be confident of putting a run together and trying to get back above United and continue to fight for a spot in the top four.
days after his last appearance, @HenrikhMkh made his return from injury for #AFCU23 on Monday night
So, how did Micki find his comeback?
— Arsenal FC (@Arsenal) 4 February 2019
Mkhitaryan was written off by a lot of Arsenal fans earlier in the season for his inconsistent performances. However, when he’s on song and firing, the Armenian is one of the most dangerous players in the Arsenal squad, and it will come as a huge boost to Unai Emery to have the ex-Borussia Dortmund hitman back to fitness after he featured for the Gunners’ U23 side last night.
The next step for Mkhitaryan is to get back in the senior team, and after watching Alex Iwobi struggle out wide against Manchester City on Sunday as they fell to a 3-1 defeat at The Etihad, the Gunners will be excited to get the 30-year-old wide man back into the fold. Arsenal’s next three games are against Huddersfield, Southampton and Bournemouth in the Premier League, and they’ll be desperate to win those ahead of a trip to Spurs before hosting United, and Mkhitaryan could be crucial in that run.
