Loads of Arsenal fans are reacting to the latest transfer developments regarding Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey after The Guardian revealed that the north London club have expressed the strongest interest in the central midfield player.
As per the article, the Gunners are yet to submit an official bid although they have apparently made contact with the player’s agent regarding a possible move.
However, the Spanish giants have reportedly offered Partey a new deal until 2025, which would increase his salary and release clause. Diego Simeone is desperate to keep the 26-year old at the club and has apparently urged the hierarchy to offer him a deal that would enable him to stay.

However, that may not stop AFC making a move. The Ghanaian international would arguably be a good fit for their starting eleven, as his ability to break up play could be utilised to give others a licence to go forward.
Partey has won 6.6 duels per La Liga match this season, and also averages 2.1 tackles, 1.4 interceptions and 1.2 clearances, according to Sofascore.
