Arsenal: Fans react to tense interview from Unai Emery

Arsenal have endured a tough start to the season under Unai Emery.

The Gunners have won just four of their opening 11 league games, drawing a further five against the likes of Watford, Crystal Palace and Wolves.

There’s been considerable unrest among a fanbase that has spent so long unhappy with the regime at their club, with some fans calling for Emery to be dismissed.

The situation hasn’t been helped by the unrest around former club captain Granit Xhaka, either.

The Swiss international reacted badly to being substituted during the draw against Crystal Palace, gesturing and swearing at his own fans before removing his shirt and storming down the tunnel.

Emery confirmed this week that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will take over the role as club captain, throwing huge question marks over Xhaka’s future.

Arsenal went on to draw with Vitoria Guimaraes in the Europa League, with Emery delivering a very tense and subdued pre-match interview on BT Sport.
