Arsenal fans were singing the praises of Mesut Ozil after Mohamed Elneny commented on the German playmaker.
The Egyptian said that when he first joined the club, he believed Ozil would be arrogant, however, was pleasantly surprised to find out quite the opposite was true (via Sabah).
Elneny went on to claim that the 31-year-old is humble and respectful and that there are players at smaller clubs who have far bigger egos.
Ozil has been a maligned figure during his time at the Emirates Stadium with fans having demanded he be sold and pundits talking about him having a ‘big ego’.
During Unai Emery’s time in charge of the club, Salgado (Malaysian network Stadium via The Daily Star) said he didn’t think the Spanish coach could handle ‘big egos’ in reference to the German being constantly left out of the matchday squad.
Fans were full of praise for Ozil after Elneny’s comments about him being humble and respectful as they took to Twitter to react.
