Many Arsenal fans on Twitter have urged Unai Emery to play Dani Ceballos like Santi Cazorla – in order to try and get the most out of Mesut Ozil.
Arsenal fan account @bhavss14 tweeted about Mesut Ozil’s best days at Arsenal being when he had a more creative midfielder behind him.
He claimed that when Santi Cazorla was playing in central midfield, he would drag players towards him, thus opening space for Ozil to have more enjoyment in.
The tweet went onto suggest Granit Xhaka, who is now an Arsenal regular in central midfield, has never had the “same level of ball progression or press resistance”.
Many Arsenal fans responded to the tweet, with many pouring out their admiration for Santi Cazorla, but also a lot suggesting that Dani Ceballos – currently on loan from Real Madrid – could do the role in which Santi Cazorla was playing.
