For Arsenal fans, there is little expectation as they prepare to travel to The Etihad tomorrow to take on Manchester City. The Gunners lost on the opening day against Pep Guardiola’s side at The Emirates, and now they fear the same result tomorrow. However, one thing the Gunners do want to see is a Denis Suarez debut tomorrow.

Denis Suarez joined the club on transfer deadline day from Barcelona on a season-long loan having previously signed a new contract at Barcelona. However, if he can perform well and make himself a wanted man amongst the Gunners then the chances are he’ll be made a permanent addition over the summer. For now, though, he has to perform and that starts against Manchester City tomorrow.
The Spanish midfielder is versatile enough to make himself a real nuisance for opponents, and it’s yet to be seen whether Unai Emery will use his countryman as a winger or as an extra central midfielder. The Gunners want to see Suarez used as a winger given their lack of options out wide, and if Denis Suarez can be their go-to man to give them width then there’s no reason why he shouldn’t be thrown in to try and hurt City tomorrow.

The Gunners would love to see Suarez start, and star, against City tomorrow, although it remains to be seen whether or not Emery will throw him in at the deep end.
