Arsenal fans were left tearing into Hector Bellerin after his comments following the club’s 2-1 loss at home to Brighton and Hove Albion.
The Spaniard came out and said that he was lost for words following the defeat and also went on to say that he believed the team created chances and defended well (Amazon Prime Video via Metro).
Statistics suggest that Bellerin’s comments are completely misguided with Arsenal having just five shots on target as well as conceding 20 in total at home to the Seagulls (via WhoScored).
Defeat last night extended the side’s winless run to a mammoth nine games, the side’s longest such run since 1977 (via BBC Sport).
Following the game, interim head coach Freddie Ljungberg came out and bemoaned his side’s slow start to the game.
Fans seemed to be angry with the comments from the full-back as they took to Twitter to react.
