Arsenal fans are looking rather pleased here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they see the story coming from the Daily Mirror – who seem to think Santi Cazorla will be going nowhere this summer.
The creative star has been brilliant this season and as one of our punters notes over a beer and burger with our landlord over by the bar, we think that it is little wonder the giants of La Liga have been circling around the Spaniard – although it seems that Cazorla is happy where he is – for now at the very least.
The player himself made it very clear that despite interest from both Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, he wants to stay with the Gunners and added: ‘I’m focused on Arsenal, where I am very happy. I have another year on my contract and the option for one more.
‘As long as I feel valued, I will continue here… although you never know what the future will bring in football.’
