Our Arsenal fans here in the Transfer Tavern really are concerned about how things are going with Alexis Sanchez with The Daily Mail reporting contingency plans are being put in place.
Indeed, the Chilean attacker is yet to sort a new contract out with the club and our landlord and Gunners punters alike think he really could be on his way in the summer.
Certainly, with the way the club is going again this season you can see why a player of Sanchez’s ability would want to move elsewhere and it appears the men from north London have a back-up plan in place should he pack his bags.
The club have reportedly taken closer looks at Marco Reus, Alexandre Lacazette and Andre Silva respectively with one of the three possibly the one to take over the reigns from the former Barcelona man.
All would be exciting options – despite the inevitable void Sanchez moving on would leave – but our Arsenal fans here by the bar feel that Reus would be the one best armed to do the same job as the South American.
As ever, though, it remains to be seen what happens next.
