Arsenal fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are given a huge boost heading into January after the Daily Star revealed that Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko has claimed he loved the Gunners.
The French international star has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium and many see him as that physical and athletic midfielder they have missed for many years.
And it has been made public that Arsene Wenger and his colleagues have been monitoring him this season as they plan a potential bid in the New Year.
Wenger will be encouraged by his recent comments about the club and there is no doubt this will excite Arsenal faithful.
Sissoko said: “When I was young, Arsenal was my favourite club.
“There was my idol Patrick Vieira. I’ve always loved this club, I still love them.
“Afterwards, there was a lot of rumours. I do not pay too much attention.
