Arsene Eventually Finds His Man Leaving Given To Enjoy His City Salary…

With the embarrassment of riches that is Alumina and Fabianski on the books Arsene Wenger has been at the top of his game for long enough to realize that the best he can hope for is to sustain the damage limitation until at least January. So far, not so bad.

The Dutch are saying Maarten Stekelenberg is now negotiating his way out of the Ajax goal and into the Emirates’.

Linked pretty much endlessly with a move to North London since Joe Hart emerged as Mancini’s favourite, Given will remain at Eastlands at least until January. Mancini has told him that he’s free to leave after then.

Given is a whole 7 years older than Stekelenberg and it’s not difficult to see which player’s stock is on the up.

If Wenger can finally address this issue it will only serve to make the run in after Christmas even more fascinating.
