Perhaps after 6 years of failing to win anything Wenger might feel that they should buy some experienced players to support their attacking play. I doubt it because his arrogance is far too big for that. Do Arsenal need a quality goalkeeper, centre back and defensive midfielder? The answer is yes but the Frenchman will probably reply with no.
There is no doubt Parker would relish one last chance on the big stage with Champions League football available. 31 this year, the central midfielder may feel it is his last chance to win some silverware.

Scott Parker would be a great signing for Arsenal. Offering £5M is a joke and is wholly unlikely to secure his services. Mr Wenger would do well to try thinking about change.

There is no quote which states a £5m bid is on the cards. Secondly, everyone undervalues a player at the beginning of negotiations, its not arrogance, its business.
