After a near-12 month layoff, Joe Gomez has returned to Liverpool training; and the Reds in the Football Transfer Tavern are delighted…
Joe Gomez was a star during his opening few weeks as a Liverpool player last season, as the young Englishman quickly cemented his place in the Reds first team under Brendan Rodgers – prior to his dismissal.
However, a cruel injury soon followed – with Gomez ruled out ever since after a number of setbacks.
After a year on the sidelines,however, the Liverpool Echo are reporting that Gomez is now back in full training.
His return comes at an opportune time, with Liverpool slowly rising in the Premier League – Jurgen Klopp needs as much defensive depth as he can get.
Expectedly, his return has incited quite the celebration in the Football Transfer Tavern – and the Liverpool fans online are sharing in their delight…

Wow – absolutely unanimous from the Liverpool faithful online!
