‘At Liverpool we support our players’ - Liverpool fans shut down the haters on Twitter after latest player post

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are desperate for Jurgen Klopp to find a solution to their side’s goalkeeping woes. The Reds have struggled between the sticks for a while now, and Simon Mignolet’s poor form this season has seen Loris Karius given a chance in the first team.

Never one to throw in the towel, though, Mignolet recently revealed on Twitter that he wouldn’t be giving up, instead noting that it was time to ‘get back to work’

He has, of course, spent much of his time at Anfield as first choice, but his poor form has certainly given cause for Jurgen Klopp to make a change in that regard.

Unsurprisingly, given the amount of criticism that Mignolet has had this year, a few of Liverpool’s more vocal supporters responded to the post with pure negativity, calling for the goalkeeper to quit the club. A few examples are below…

The bulk of Liverpool fans, though, appear to be fully behind their goalkeeper, with many responding to Mignolet’s post with a flurry of compliments and pieces of support. Indeed, it appears as though the Anfield faithful have made it their job to shut down the vocal minority of critics of Mignolet – with some even hoping that the Belgian regains his spot in the first team as soon as possible.

It’s a testament to the faith that fans of the club have, with nobody able to doubt their commitment to the team. It also suggests that fans still see a future for Mignolet at the club, which is certainly interesting. Perhaps they think he should get one more chance to shine before he’s permanently replaced.

Mignolet and Hendo get so much unnecessary hate. They're not even playing ATM! These 'fans' need to find a new club, they would be more suited to arsenal! At Liverpool we support our players. YNWA
