The Manchester United fans at the Tavern tonight are debating Marouane Fellaini.
Our landlord continues to be baffled at how Fellaini is still on the pay roll at Manchester United.
He seems to think he could elbow people in the head for £80,000 a week!
With players like Fellaini there is usually a mixture of opinion, not this time, every Manchester United fan here in the Transfer Taverm agrees, the Belgian international needs to go.
On paper, he should be a dominant midfielder who controls the centre of the park and links up attack and defence with ease, in reality that just isn’t the case and with Manchester United’s hundreds of millions, they should be able to afford a suitable replacement and with Mourinho at the helm, there should be no problem in tempting players to make the switch to Old Trafford.
With that being said, here are TWO suitable replacements for Marouane Fellaini….
Radja Nainggolan

Another Belgian central midfielder, Radja Nainggolan enjoyed a fantastic season with Roma as they finished second just behind champions, Juventus.
Nainggolan has been linked with just about every major club in Europe, but our landlord thinks United should put their neck on the line and seal a deal for the Belgian ace.
The tattooed powerhouse will drive a high price but with United spending money like it’s going out of fashion over the last few seasons, it will not be of much concern to them.
William Carvalho

Whilst the Portuguese defensive midfielder has been closely linked with Arsenal, should Mourinho’s United decide they want to go in with an offer, Carvalho will have a tough decision on his hands.
Both clubs find themselves in similar situations as they both go through a rebuilding process and their respective clubs and a player like Carvalho could make that rebuild a lot easier.
United have the money and Europa League trophy to boot so should they turn their attention to the Sporting Lisbon star, it is most likely he will favour Old Trafford, over the Emirates.
