Ousmane Dembele hasn’t featured for Barcelona since the club’s opening day defeat to Athletic Bilbao.
The France international has been sidelined with a thigh injury since that disappointing loss last month, but is now reportedly (per the Evening Standard) in-line to make his return to the fold for the Catalans against Villarreal this evening.
Barca have endured a poor start to their campaign this time around, winning just two of their opening five La Liga matches, whilst drawing their Champions League group stage opener against Borussia Dortmund last week.
Ernesto Valverde’s men fell to defeat against Granada at the weekend, losing 2-0 to the La Liga newcomers away from home.
The Blaugrana struggled to create many chances in the final third on Saturday with only Lionel Messi making more than 1 key pass, so could do with Dembele returning, alongside captain the Argentine, who was only fit enough for the substitutes bench at the weekend as he continues to recover from the calf injury that’s sidelined him up until this point.
