Rangers: Fans torn over McKay goal vs Celtic in 2016

Rangers continue to post their “Goal of the Day” on Twitter as the fans are starved of any live action to get their teeth into.

Recent days have seen efforts from Rod Wallace and Gabriel Amato shared, and on Friday, it was Barrie McKay who was in the spotlight. The club’s official account shared his strike against Celtic in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup in 2016, and it truly was a stunning effort as he found the top corner with a shot from well outside the box.

Many fans enjoyed seeing the video all over again and reliving the memories from that day at Hampden Park, but others weren’t quite on the same page – some didn’t want to witness it bearing in mind the Ibrox outfit were beaten 3-2 in the final by Hibernian.

The club’s supporters were quick to share their thoughts on the social media platform, anyway, with one suggesting it was a “massive sliding doors moment.”
