Seeing that Mike Dean has been trying to make himself the centre of attention surely won’t surprise anyone by now, will it? The Premier League official who leads the way for red cards in the tournament continues to keep the nation on edge as he sits on 99 dismissals, and yesterday he left the Magpies fuming with his ineptitude.
Throughout the game, the Geordies were left shocked as decision after decision after decision went against them. One major point was that Dean was so keen to give the Cherries a penalty when Nathan Ake was hauled down whilst attacking a corner, yet a similar challenge on Salomon Rondon up the other end went unpunished and only infuriated the travelling fans.
Newcastle fans can now safely be added to the list of Premier League supporters who are sick and tired of Mike Dean. It’s got to the point with the veteran referee that whenever he’s appointed to a Premier League clash both sets of fans gutted about the game to come. The fact that the 50-year-old has officiated four clashes between big six sides is a running joke, and the Magpies will be desperate to avoid having him out in the middle for any of their remaining eight games.

How does Mike Dean consistently get away with making himself the centre of attention for every match he officiates? Never seen someone with as big an ego

The Geordies simply cannot stand Dean and would be delighted if they got through to the end of the season without having him officiate anymore of their matches.
