en linked with a move away from Manchester United since he failed to even make the bench for their Champions League final against Barcelona, latest reports are suggesting that Dimitar Berbatov may finally be on his way out.
With United’s well publicised pursuit of Wesley Sneijder believed to be coming to a conclusion, the Bulgarian striker could leave Old Trafford in order to help finance the deal.
With just a year left on his contract, Sir Alex Ferguson seems to be willing to cash in on the striker as he looks to inject some fresh impetous into his side for the coming season. Despite having scored 46 goals in just 91 league appearances for United, and having performed exceptionally in the first half of last season, Berbatov now finds himself below both Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez in the pecking order at Old Trafford, and is believed to be seeking regular first team football elsewhere.
Regularly linked with Paris Saint-Germain this summer, the Bulgarian is now wanted by AC Milan, who have been unsuccessful in their attempts to lure Didier Drogba to the San Siro.
French media Les Transferts have reported that the Italian giants are willing to offer a fee of around £13M to secure Berbatov’s services, a sum which would certainly help finance the £32M being suggested as required to bring in playmaker Sneijder.
