‘Better player than Neymar’, ‘Magical’ - Liverpool fans celebrate latest player announcement

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are running out of words to describe Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian has been simply sensational this season.

After moving from Roma over the summer, it’s fair to say that expectations were high. He was on the tail of a solid run of form in Italy, and the Reds spent big to land him.

However, nobody could have expected what has followed. He has been simply unstoppable, having bagged a whopping 24 league goals already this term. That’s a truly remarkable record for a number 9, let alone a winger.

He’s already become a bit of an icon at Anfield, and it’s fair to say that even those outside of Merseyside have been impressed by him. That’s been rewarded this month, too, with Liverpool confirming over on their official Twitter page that the Egyptian winger has been named the PFA Player of the Month for February.

It’s no less than he deserves, of course. He was a regular for Liverpool throughout the month, and he put in a number of fantastic performances.

The news has gone down very well over on Twitter, with Liverpool fans responding to the news with pure delight. With fans lavishing praise upon him, one supporter has even described him as ‘better than Neymar’. Indeed, with 5 more goals than the Brazilian this term – it’s fair to say that that sort of praise is not without merit.
