Bilic must consider dropping these 2 West Ham players against Crystal Palace today

It’s been a tough old season so far for West Ham United and the Hammers fans here in the Tavern are rightly concerned by what they are seeing on the pitch most weeks.

Talk at the bar from a few Hammers fans is that this weekend could see Bilic make a few changes to his starting eleven against Crystal Palace, with a couple of players not quite performing as well as they should be of late.

The Hammers were well and truly battered last time out in the FA Cup against Man City, but their league form prior to that had picked up a little bit.

Many are saying that today’s game against Palace is essentially a must win for both teams.

Our landlord though is confident the Hammers can pull off the victory with a few tweaks to the line-up, so here are TWO players Bilic must consider dropping this week…

Angelo Ogbonna

The Italian centre back has been a little bit of liability of late, with some rash decisions and overall poor defending contributing to a few poor displays.

This poor bit of form could give Bilic the chance to bring in young Reece Oxford. The exciting young talent has not played as much as he may have liked this season, but without doubt has bags of ability and potential in his locker.

If selected over Ogbonna, he will be looking to impress Bilic and nail down a place in the team long term.

Havard Nordtveit

Norwegian midfielder Nordtveit has been filling in as a bit of an emergency right back for the Hammers, but with Sam Byram nearing a return, could find himself out of the team.

In his first season in the Premier League, Nordtveit has not done too much wrong, although it’s hard to argue he has lit up the league either.

If Byram is fit and raring to go, then it could well be time for him to step in and replace the Norwegian.
