Some Birmingham City fans were left delighted with what they saw from David Davis following their win against Luton Town on Saturday afternoon.
The Blues picked up a 2-1 victory at Kenilworth Road after Lukas Jutkiewicz put the visitors ahead extremely early, whilst Gary Gardiner restored order shortly after James Collins netted a penalty for the hosts (BBC).
The win was their first in the Championship since the beginning of December and helped to create a little breathing room between them and the bottom three.
Davis was handed the opportunity to start the game against Luton having sat out of the two previous league meetings against Leeds United and Wigan Athletic (per TransferMarkt) and it appears the midfielder impressed many with his display.
The 28-year-old had a solid game in the middle of the park, with WhoScored detailing a number of key statistics in his favour. He managed to play one key pass, win three aerial duels, make three tackles and one clearance whilst also blocking two shots.
Fans took to Twitter to rave about his performance, with many suggesting that he had an excellent game and could have been considered as a Man of the Match candidate.
