Blackburn boss keen to extend loan of Leicester striker

The Lancashire Telegraph is reporting that Blackburn manager Gary Bowyer is set to contact Leicester with regards to the player remaining on loan until the end of the season.

Bowyer is delighted with the form of Lawrence who has struck up a great partnership with Jordan Rhodes since joining the club.

The Blackburn boss hailed Lawrence’s outstanding performance against Leeds last Thursday night, and even hinted that he would like to sign the player on permanent deal if the chance arose. Speaking to The Evenng Telegraph about Lawrence, Gary Bowyer said:

“I’ve spoken to Leicester quite a bit just to keep them informed of how he’s doing.”

On Thursday they saw for themselves. They’re monitoring him but the lad needs to play games and he’s happy here and settled here and I’m sure those conversations will carry on with Leicester.

“I’d like to buy him if I could.”

The Blackburn fans in The Transfer Tavern are optomistic about a deal being agreed with Leicester City for the youngster to remain at Ewood Park, and are eager for the player to remain at the club.
