Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern have been in jubilant mood ever since the appointment of Jurgen Klopp, and who he will sign in January, has been a hot topic of debate recently here in the Tavern!
Our resident Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern admit they would love to see the likes of Marco Reus, Ilkay Gundogan or Mats Hummels brought to Anfield in January, but according to Bundesliga expert Raphael Honigstein, it won’t be any of them.
Speaking to The Sport Review, Honigstein revealed that Dortmund defender Neven Subotic is the most likely man to join Liverpool, here’s what he said: “There is probably a deal to be made with Subotic, who has been out-of-favour.
“He is one of the few players who was personally picked by Klopp for Dortmund when he was at Mainz. Most of the players were bought by the club rather than him.”
Our landlord here in the Transfer Tavern feels that Subotic, 26, is an excellent defender, who has all the attributes to make him a top quality addition to the Premier League!
A few Reds fans over by the bar here in the Tavern have to agree with the thoughts of the landlord, and feel the defender would be one hell of a signing in January, and would help shore up the defence even more.
