The Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern have been showing their love for their new gaffer, Stevie G as the ex-Liverpool and England captain has been discussing transfers on the Rangers website. Gerrard has taken on the tough task of trying to usurp Celtic as Scotland’s number one club and so far he’s going about it expertly.

The Gers propping our bar up will be itching to get the season underway as they hope that Steven Gerrard can help them to their first piece of major silverware since making their return to the Scottish Premier League. The last two seasons have been tough for the Ibrox club as they’ve been swept aside by their Old Firm rivals at every turn and have had to watch as Brendan Rodgers’ side have won Scottish football’s first-ever back-to-back trebles.
The Bluenoses will be confident that their suffering at the hands of the Hoops will come to an end under Stevie G. The Scouse legend will look to make himself a Glasgow legend by the end of his tenure at Ibrox and the only way to do that is to win silverware. The fans will take whatever they can get at the moment and with six new signings brought in, Gerrard is looking to implement a new look side in Glasgow that are capable of winning trophies.
