The Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are delighted about their win over FC Basel upon their return to Champions League action last night.
Indeed, our resident Red Devils believe Jose Mourinho is the man to help United challenge on their two major fronts again, though last night was not without its problems.
Paul Pogba – skipper for the night – was taken off in the first-half with what looked like a hamstring injury and is a doubt for United’s crunch clash with Everton this weekend.
It’s a shame for the Frenchman, who was enjoying far more of a creative role in United’s new set-up, though fans have been taking to Twitter to wish another key midfielder a start this weekend.
Michael Carrick is yet to feature this season and the United fans have been urging their desire to see the trophy-laden pass master play at Old Trafford on Sunday.
