The Daily Mail have some rather alarming news for Chelsea fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern after they claimed that the club could well be about to let David Luiz leave.
The Brazilian defender has been playing more minutes recently and as our landlord notes, we even felt that he could actually be gaining the trust of Jose Mourinho.
Our Blues fans in the tavern move away from the pool table and towards our landlord, who notes that having already seen Juan Mata leave for Manchester United, the Blues now have to deal with the fact that another fan favourite could well be on his way.
That has not gone down particularly well, and as one of our regulars makes the point that they hope he will not be on his way to the Camp Nou, our landlord informs them that it is Bayern Munich who are keen on taking the Brazilian in the summer – when they will return with a mega bid.
Chelsea will have to bring in a couple of players this summer but our punters are keen to see a forward arrive, not a replacement for Luiz.
Bayern meanwhile still have one of the best squads in the world and if we are being honest, they don’t need any help adding to that!
