Bye Wenger: Arsenal should still be considering 1 of these 2 managers ahead of the summer

The Gunners are seemingly in decline over recent months and you could say possibly seasons, however, our Arsenal fans here in the Transfer Tavern are wanting a massive change at the Emirates this summer.

A huge overhaul of the club is needed many of our regulars feel and it needs to start with the manager. Arsene Wenger has no doubt been a fantastic boss throughout his time at the Gunners, that much is painfully obvious. Furthermore, he single handily revolutionised the Premier League when he arrived in the late 90’s.

However, since 2004 and the infamous Invincibles year, Wenger has kind of lived off the back of that success. Despite bringing in a couple of FA Cups along the way with Champions League football each season to justify to the board why he should stay, things aren’t going well.

Our barman feels though now, especially has it seems that Arsenal will be missing out on Champions League football for the second season running. It’a time to look elsewhere, and these two managers could be great replacements…

Thomas Tuchel

The former Borussia Dortmund manager is touted as one of the best European coaches to be out of work at the moment. He would instantly link up with two former Dortmund players and bring back that togetherness we have been missing at the Emirates, which was clear to see in the Bundesliga.

Tuchel’s last game in charge was lifting the DFB-Pokal trophy and he will be eager to continue where he left off.

Thierry Henry

This is somewhat of a gamble for the Gunners but one that would be very welcomed by the Emirates faithful. Henry has been playing understudy to Roberto Martinez with the Belgium national squad, and his influence and experience as a player are paying off tenfold.

Henry knows the fabric of the club and would be very eager to bring back the kind of football that won him so many trophies with the Gunners.
