The Leeds United fans here in the Transfer Tavern are gutted. Indeed, it’s been yet another dreadful campaign at Elland Road and our resident Whites are eager to see the end of it as Paul Heckingbottom continues to struggle in his role as manager of the Yorkshire giants.
Though the season started out with such promise, recent results have left Leeds marooned in the bleak midtable spots and our local Yorkshiremen just want the end of the season to come soon. After last night’s awful lost away at Preston, they even want Hecky’s tenure to end as soon as possible.
Having failed to impress since his controversial move from Barnsley a few months ago, Leeds fans online have seemingly identified exactly who they want to be his successor. Indeed, Mick McCarthy recently left his post in charge of Ipswich Town and supporters have taken to Twitter to announce their support for him potentially getting the role.
With that in mind, here’s a closer look at the calls:

Mick McCarthy has the attitude we need. Phone him and he'll happily come to Elland Rd and kick Heckingbottom to the kerb.
