Celtic took a step closer to securing a ninth successive Premiership title on Wednesday night after their 5-0 thrashing of Hearts took them 10 points clear at the summit.
Rangers’ simultaneous defeat to Kilmarnock leaves Neil Lennon’s side firmly on course to equal a club record by winning nine leagues in a row and that would bring the prospect of completing 10 consecutive titles tantalisingly within reach.
Striker Odsonne Edouard has been a key figure in their increasingly likely march towards yet another Premiership crown, with the Frenchman scoring 19 goals already in the league this season. However, a question posed by Celtic Underground on Twitter (@celticrumours) addressed an unenviable elephant in the room.

The 22-year-old’s future at Parkhead has at times been placed in potential doubt due to the reported interest of several clubs from Europe’s top five leagues in his signature. Both Leicester and Napoli have reportedly been willing to pay £30m for him (as per Daily Record and Daily Mail respectively), with a potential reunion with ex-Hoops team-mate Moussa Dembele at Lyon also broached by Football Insider claiming that the Ligue 1 side were keeping tabs on him.
These Celtic fans on Twitter were divided on the likelihood of Edouard still being at the club if they manage to extend their sequence of consecutive Premiership triumphs to 10 in 2021:
