Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard had a memorable debut for the France under-21 team last night, scoring two goals in a 4-0 victory over Albania, as reported by The Scottish Sun.
The club’s official Twitter channel @CelticFC subsequently noted the 21-year-old’s double for Les Bleus’ junior side, for whom he came on as a substitute.
I wanna be Edouard!

Edouard was Celtic’s top scorer last season with 22 goals in 52 games and has carried that goalscoring form into the 2019/20 campaign with six goals in 11 matches following his strike against Rangers last week.
This week, the print edition of L’Equipe reported [via Sport Witness] that Monaco had tried to sign the striker during the summer and had drawn up the outline of a contract for him before pulling out of the deal.
These Celtic fans on Twitter seemed worried that his current goalscoring form will see him being prised away from the club in the next few months:
We’ll be lucky to keep him for another year….
