Celtic lost 2-1 to rivals Rangers on Sunday in the SPFL, though things could have been different had Ryan Christie scored his penalty.
The 24-year-old failed to convert just past the half-hour mark, leaving plenty of supporters frustrated as some questioned why Odsonne Edouard did not take it instead.
Celtic’s loss against Rangers means that Steven Gerrard’s side are now only two points behind them in the table with a game in hand, making it quite the title race in Scotland this season.
Christie will have the chance to redeem himself when the Hoops take on Partick Thistle in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup in the New Year.
Should he play and a penalty be awarded, though, it is quite clear that Celtic fans would much rather see Edouard take to the spot following the Scotland international’s costly miss versus Rangers.
